If your letter says you’re being moved automatically
Not every one of the 5,770 Hernando residents in a changing plan will lose coverage. Some plans are being combined into another plan from the same company, and members are moved on January 1 without doing anything. That sounds easy, but the plan you’re moved to can have a different network, drug list and copays.
- 1Find the new plan’s name in your letter. It’s usually in the first paragraph of your Annual Notice of Change.
- 2Check your doctors in Spring Hill and Brooksville. Make sure your primary doctor and specialists are in the new plan’s network for 2027.
- 3Check your hospital. Tampa General Hospital Brooksville and Tampa General Hospital Spring Hill are in the county. If you use one, confirm it’s in network.
- 4Check your drugs and pharmacy. Look up each medicine on the new plan’s 2027 drug list and confirm your pharmacy is preferred.
- 5Compare. If anything doesn’t match, compare it with the 40 plans open to everyone in Hernando before December 7.
