Lady Lake, The Villages and county lines
The plans you can join depend on the county of your home address, not your mailing address or the town name on your mail. That matters in north Lake County, where The Villages crosses into Sumter and Marion counties. Two homes a few streets apart can have different plan choices.
Of the 8,957 Lake County residents in changing plans, most are in PPO plans and about 4,900 had a Part B premium reduction. About 1,700 are in plans for people with both Medicare and Medicaid.
North Lake
Lady Lake, Fruitland Park and Leesburg. Confirm your county on your property tax bill or voter card before comparing plans.
Central Lake
Tavares, Eustis and Mount Dora. Many residents see specialists in Orlando; add them to your list.
South Lake
Clermont and Groveland are growing fast, with more new residents turning 65 who are choosing Medicare for the first time.
