In Manatee, many returning plans lowered their limits
Manatee bucks the statewide trend. The typical yearly out-of-pocket limit among returning plans went down, from $6,700 to $6,000. That doesn’t help the 10,531 people whose 2026 plan isn’t coming back, but it means some of the plans you’ll compare are a better deal in a bad year than they were.
Most affected Manatee residents are in PPO plans, and about 7,200 had a Part B premium reduction. Before you replace one giveback plan with another, compare the whole year: premium, giveback, copays and the yearly limit.
Bradenton and Palmetto
Long-time residents often have doctors they’ve seen for years. Start with them.
Lakewood Ranch and Parrish
Newer communities with fast-growing medical offices. Make sure your doctors’ new locations are covered, not just their names.
Anna Maria and the beaches
If you live on the islands part of the year, think about coverage while you’re away.
